About the team
Helen Higgs
Helen Higgs set up Oxford Marketing to brand the work that she has been doing with SMEs in the area over the past fifteen years, helping them to grow their businesses through clear thinking about where they want to go in the future and how to get there. Clients have covered every aspect of business life from IT to restaurants, and from nuclear services to tea.
Helen is a Chartered Marketer and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, with character-making experience including running a sawmill and working for the broadcasting department of the Church of England. Helen is an associate lecturer at Oxford Brookes University and Warwick University, and teaches marketing research and marketing management, as well as on the Certificate in Management course. In addition to this, Helen also specialises in strategic marketing planning and has broad experience in PR.
Ben Mumby-Croft
Ben Mumby-Croft, co-founder of Oxford Marketing, is a branding expert and experienced workshop facilitator who specialises in working with start-up and SME clients. Ben also specialises in the management of creative design processes and marketing communications planning and delivery. Ben is particularly interested in companies who focus on sustainability and environmental matters, and has significant experience in these areas.
Sebastian Johnson
Sebastian Johnson is an experienced and well-respected project manager and consultant, with over twenty years experience developed from running his own business and working in both the public and voluntary sectors. Sebastian has a unique understanding of how the private, public and voluntary sectors operate, having worked successfully in all three. Sebastian offers excellent research and analytical skills coupled with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Philippa Kelham
Philippa Kelham has been a marketing professional for over twenty years. She has worked on many international projects and has specialised in catering, hospitality and the drinks industry, as well as charity sector marketing. Philippa provides support for these areas amongst our own clients, and has a broad knowledge of PR.
Gilly Weddell
Gilly Weddell is the most recent addition to the team, and is our marketing assistant. Gilly’s degree in Philosophy and Modern Languages at Oxford University provided her with the opportunity to undertake work for a number of well-known institutions in both the UK and abroad. Gilly provides support to the team, and is specialising in the fields of marketing research and public relations.
